Ikea taps HMM service to cut ocean transport emissions
Ikea signed an agreement to use HMM’s Green Sailing Service in a move to decarbonize its ocean transportation, HMM said in a June 10 press release.
The agreement is expected to reduce around 11,500 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions from March 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025. That amount can transport 14,534 TEUs worth of zero-emission cargo from South Korea to the Netherlands, HMM said.

Driver safety among top concerns for trucking fleet managers in 2024
Safety and compliance rank among the top concerns for trucking fleet managers so far in 2024.
Out of 489 fleet managers surveyed by employee training company JJ Keller, nearly 60% said that their chief concern is related to drivers knowing how to safely and correctly operate their vehicles. Another 23% stressed the importance of avoiding distracted driving, while 19% highlighted vehicle inspections that are correctly done and properly recorded.
